Nikki Grahame

TV and Media Career

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_200_nikki-biog-new.jpgWhen Nikki Grahame entered the Big Brother house in 2006, little did she know that she would become one of the most popular and most talked about housemates of the whole series.

In 2010, not surprisingly, Nikki was chosen to re-enter the Big Brother house for Ultimate Big Brother where she showed how popular she still was by finishing as the runner-up and the most popular female contestant. Since UBB she has been touring around the country doing personal appearances and giving TV and radio interviews.

Nikki once again entered the Big Brother house in 2015 as a Time Warp housemate. She stayed for 2 weeks before coming out to rapturous applause. Between the 3 Big Brother series she has been part of she is now the only UK housemate to do more then 100 days (102) in the Big Brother House.

In 2011 Nikki starred in a series of TV ads and online films, for Foxy Radio. Nikki has also presented shows on Foxy Bingo Radio.

Nikki's personality and rather eccentric sense of humour, not to mention her ability to laugh at herself, has led to her being asked to make many guest appearances on shows like 'T4', '8 out of 10 Cats' and 'Celebrity Juice' to name a few. She is also one of the very few BB stars to be interviewed on 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross'.

Nikki wrote a regular column for OK! Magazine for 3 years and wrote her autobiography "Dying To Be Thin", to highlight the dangers of anorexia, and has campaigned actively for anorexia charities and the National Osteoporosis Society. She has also worked with Body Gossip, a charity that promotes realistic beauty, acting with a celebrity cast on stage in London and at the Edinburgh Festival and in a series of films produced by them.

Many of the phrases that Nikki's used in the BB house such as "Who IS She" soon became known to a wider audience as did her "over the top" personality. Not surprisingly therefore Nikki was chosen, in 2007, to appear in a Dominos Pizza advert for their new range of pizzas.

Nikki also won a National Television Award in 2006 for Best TV Contender.

TV Appearances

Nikki is a natural on TV She's spontaneous, funny and never afraid to speak her mind. Love her or hate her she's always herself and hugely entertaining, hence her National Television Award in November 2006 for Best TV Contender.

Following Big Brother she was given her own show, Princess Nikki. Nikki appeared as herself in a series of programmes where she was given a different job to do each week. The aim of the programme makers was to give Nikki the worst jobs they could find, sit back and wait for the tantrums she didn't disappoint! And who could blame her given that all the jobs seemed to involve dirt and / or excrement! It was very funny to watch. Not surprisingly the one programme where she actually enjoyed what she was doing and the tantrums were at a minimum was never shown but you can see it on the video page courtesy of the people she was working for who thought she was great, as well as all the other episodes.

Advertising Campaigns: Many of the phrases that Nikki's used in the BB house such as "Who IS She" soon became known to a wider audience as did her "over the top" personality. She has also been asked to talk about life after reality TV on 'Richard and Judy', was interviewed on Channel 5's show 'Live from Studio 5' on the subject of whether reality TV contestants should get paid and has appeared on 'This Morning' to talk about the effects of divorce on children.

TV shows: Nikki's personality and rather eccentric sense of humour, not to mention her ability to laugh at herself, has led to her being asked to make many guest appearances on shows like 'T4', '8 out of 10 Cats', 'Celebrity Juice', 'Friday Night Project', Graham Norton's 'Big Finish', BBC3's 'Teeth Grinder' and a celebrity edition of 'The Weakest Link'. She is also one of the very few BB stars to be interviewed on the 'Jonathan Ross Show', was a judge on BBC2's 'Scene Stealers' and was a guest on Ireland's popular 'Podge and Rodge Show'.
