December 18, 2010  Nikki in Loveit Magazine this week

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_150_dec23_loveit3a.jpg

Nikki was in Loveit magazine this week in a feature called "Strictly come Dining". Dancing Judge Craig Revel Horwood cooks up a feast for his celebrity guests. "Twas a month before christmas... and Craigy was cooking. He was whisking and chopping! While Loveit was looking. For his celebrity guests expected great food he didn't want them to leave in a mood."

While Andrew Stone gave Craig a perfect 10, what did Nikki think? Nikki said "I'm giving Craig a one because he didn't get me a present. When I go to a party, I like to get something and its christmas after all. But the food was delicious and it's the most impressive turkey I've ever seen. Craig's a very handsome host but Andrew's not my cup of tea."

December 16, 2010  Nikki Grahame in the Kettering Panto production of Aladdin

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_200_nikki_grahame_panto_1.jpg

The panto opened on friday 10th December to a packed house and has been running a week now. Although numbers were down saturday and sunday night due to the XFactor finals, the panto is getting good support from the Kettering community.

Nikki is a good choice for Princess Balroubador, it was Princess Jasmine in the pre-show advertising, so I wonder why they changed it? Nikki sings "Somewhere out there" a duet with Aladdin played by Josh Dubovie, and the pairing of Nikki and Josh is very sweet. Nikki's performance is very good, with her actions, facial expressions and delivery is highly entertaining. She even gets in a couple of her famous catch phrases, I wont tell you what they are but watch more video's here and you will find out.

Nikki is just right for panto and has been exercising her vocal chords on her recent accoustic set tour where she sings Supergrass Songs. Her acting in this production just shows how versatile Nikki really is and Nikki never claims to be a singer but does remarkably well here. I am sure their will be more panto's to come for Nikki and perhaps more TV/Acting work.

The Production of Aladdin runs to December 26th and also includes panto veteran and Dr Who fame Frazer Hines as Wishee Washee, Singer and IAC survivor David Van Day as the evil Abanazar, a fantastic performance from Rodney Ward as Widow Twankey, XFactor Star Daniel Fox as Sergent Suey and Columnist Sue Moxley as the Genie. Read more here for dates, times and info about the panto. So why not come along to show your support for Nikki, its highly entertaing and only 1 hour train ride from London.

December 7, 2010  Nikki's Hotstars column in OK! Magazine - issue 755

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_150_nikki_grahame_ok_hs_755_1.jpg

This week Nikki talks about I'm a Celebrity, X Factor and starring in Panto.

I've been rehearsing for my Panto role as Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and it's going really well! I saw Megamind 3D last week, too, which was brilliant! I'm getting ready for our family Christmas Party at my mum's, which will also act as a joint wrap party for our Panto! Meanwhile, on Monday, I presented an aware for BEAT at the House of Commons (I felt like I was tresspassing!) and then I went to a Christmas Party at The Embassy, which was great fun. Happy Christmas, everyone!

This years I'm A Celebrity... was certainly memorable! I hate to say it, but people have been comparing me to Gillian McKeith! I was like her during my first time in Big Brother - moaning about everything, I don't like the comparison though. My highlights were Shaun Ryder eating bugs and Gillian fainting - that will go down in TV hostory. I think the show still has several more years in it as everyone loves talking about it.

I think the X Factor is just as fab as usual. I was surprised Katie Waissel lasted as long as she did, but I think the public have warmed to her. I'm backing One Direction to win! Cheryl Cole's reportedly been offered the US X Factor job by Simon Cowell, but I think Nicole Scherzinger might be better as she's more established in the States.

I'm watching Kerry Katona's new show on ITV2, Coming Clean. I think it's really interesting as so much is written about her in the media, but now we are getting to see what she is like for ourselves. I'm glad she's doing it as it's her chance to set the record straight. She's really sorted herself out and looks great right now. It looks like there's no way back with Mark Croft, and he doesn't deserve her anyway.

I've said it before, but I love Ann Widdecombe! She's done so well on Strictly Come Dancing and has put in an amazing effort. She's really made an impact on the public. Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev are supposedly an item and I think if that's true they make a great couple. It's easy to see how it would happen, with them working so closely together everyday. Gavin Henson's been doing well too and seems to have really enjoyed his time on the show.

Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray. It's great for rehydrating my skin during this cold weather and when we have the heating on. It's handy for carrying in your handbag and smells nice, too!

Elsewhere in the magazine in the party pics section there is a nice pic of Nikki at Aleisha's girls night out.

November 20, 2010  Nikki on the Mark Powlett show on BBC Radio

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_200_nikki_playing_acoustic_set2.jpg

Nikki was on the Mark Powlett show on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire yesterday afternoon to promote her acoustic gig at The Assembly in Leamington. Nikki was there along with her guitarist Chris to play a song live in the studio - Someday by The Strokes.

It was a good interview with Mark asking Nikki about people knowing her from Big Brother as being high maintenance. Nikki answered that she has actually calmed down a lot over the last 4 years and if you had seen her on Ultimate Big Brother then people did see a different Nikki and not so high maintenance, adding that she thought Ulrika was far more high maintenance then her this time round. They also talked about the tone of her voice coming across as whining and Nikki said she does have a distinctive voice, and does sometimes sound like she's whining even when she is cheerful - which leads to a lot of misunderstanding.

Hear the full interview below with Nikki singing Someday by The Strokes. Nikki stresses that she isn't intent on launching a singing career and is doing the gigs for fun. She says she is passionate about the music that she likes and thought it would be good to do cover sets of some of her favourite songs.

Nikki is doing Mamma Jammas in Hereford tonight but still has two performaces left with tickets available, London at the Freedom Bar and Talking Heads in Southhampton, see details below.

Monday Nov 22 - Freedom Bar, Soho, London.

November 9, 2010  Nikki's Hotstars Column in OK! Magazine - issue 751

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_150_nikki_hs_751.jpg

Nikki Grahame talks X Factor, Strictly and going on her first ever acoustic singing tour.

Hello! I've been very busy lately. I've just filmed a pilot for MTV, although it's top secret at the moment! Last weekend I went to a Caral Barat gig in Paris and back in London I met Camilla Duchess of Cornwall, while doing a reading for Body Gossip - she was very funny! The big news is that I'm preparing to do an acoustic tour, where i'll be singing my favourite songs - it's all very exciting! And I'm starring as Princess Jasmin in Aladdin - check out all the details at See you in four weeks! x

Tina O'Brien was my favourite contestant in Stirctly Come Dancing so it was disappointing to see her go. Kara Tointon's doing really well, though, and so is Scott Maslen. My mum and I are huge fans of Ann Widdecombe and I think people should stop seeing her as the joker. She's trying really hard and people should applaud her for all her hard efforts. We've got to see a totally different side to her!

I'm loving the X Factor. I'm feeling a bit sorry for Katie Waissel, though as she's getting a hard time in the media - maybe her profile in the show has just been to big. I think Cher Lloyd's been great recently and Rebecca Ferguson would be a worthy winner. And although Wagner isn't the best singer, his performances are entertaining!

I was so sad to hear of Lily Allen's miscarriage. I'm a really big fan of hers and really feel for her right now. It must be so horrendous to have everything taken away from you at the last minute, it's heartbreaking. I hope she takes some time out with friends and family who care for her. It's important to remember her boyfriend, Sam Cooper, too, as sometimes it's easy to forget about the dad in these tragic situations.

Apparently Jordan wants to arrange a meeting with Peter Andre to discuss their marriage breakdown. I think that's a bit unfair on her husband Alex Reid - he'd be very understanding if he didn't mind that happening. I don't think Peter would be up for it, though, as he seems to have moved on. Meeting up could just stir up bad feelings. Then again, they could prove us all wrong and form a really good and lasting friendship for the sake of the children.

K-Pal Joico hair care. People always ask what products I use and I find its shampoo and conditioner amazing. It's great at strengthening my hair. Visit for details.

October 22, 2010  Nikki Grahame presents the request show on Foxy Radio

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_wk6_basildon_4.jpg

Nikki presented the Friday request show on Foxy Radio at 8pm.
This was the first time that Nikki had done a show on her own and, despite admitting to being a bit nervous, she did very well coping with callers making music requests, answering listeners emails and competitions for bingo points. She brought her own personality to the show and it was an excellent first attempt at radio presenting.

On the foxy bingo website they said
"Big Brother legend Nikki Grahame is in the studio! We loved her so much last time that we wanted her back!"

And let's hope they do again - Nikki said she'd be doing more shows so fingers crossed its soon.
You can keep up to date with what's happening on Foxy bingo via their facebookpage

October 13, 2010  Nikki's Hotstars Column in OK! Magazine - issue 747

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_150_hotstars_747.jpg

This week Nikki talks about X Factor, Strictly and life after Ultimate Big Brother...

Hi, everyone! I've been really busy lately, doing lots of PA's around the country - I've got to meet some lovely people. I went to the BT Digital Music Awards recently and sat with Vanessa Feltz and her fiance' Ben Ofoedu, which was lovely. I also saw Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole at the cinema - it WAS really magical. I'm going to see Carl Barat at Coalition in Brighton, this week and can't wait! It'd be great if you could check out my new website - - where you can catch up with all my news.

There are some brilliant contestants on this year's Strictly Come Dancing. I particularly like Tina O'Brien and Kara Tointon, I think they'll do really well. Michelle Williams should be good, too. I'm sure Destiny's Child still have a lot of fans who'll support her. I'm not sure if Gavin Henson will be able to pull off the serious dancer thing, though, as he seems to like to joke around!

This years X Factor is the best yet! I fancy all the boys in 1 Direction, especially Louis Tomlinson! I couldn't believe what happened at the Judges' houses stage, though - Gamu was the best singer and I think Cheryl Cole should have put her through. As for Katie Waissel, she would be more suited to acting. I'd love to see Belle Amie win, they're great.

Natalie Cassidy's baby Eliza is the cutest thing! She is so beautiful and has got the most amazing bright blue eyes. Nat and her fiance' Adam Cottrell are over the moon and I'm really happy for them both as they really deserve this. I can't wait to buy little Eliza lots of presents. I'm going to introduce her to my nephew, Sunny, and they can be a little boyfriend and girlfriend.

Since leaving the BB house.I've been in touch with quite a few of the housemates. I speak to Victor Ebuwa quite a lot and also Brian Dowling who is also busy and happy. I saw some former housemates - including Michelle Bass and Brian Belo - while recording Davina McCall: A Celebrity Roast for Channel 4 last week. People are recognising me all over again and I have to stop and remind myself that I've just come out of the UBB house!

Threepenny Memoir: The lives of a Libertine by Carl Barat. I love The Libertines and can't wait to read all about Carl's take on things.

October 5, 2010  Nikki Grahame on 4Music

Nikki Grahame picture - 3_200_4music crush3.jpg

Nikki was on 4Music's "The Crush", a monthly show hosted by Rick Edwards, reviewing the new chart releases. A lot of people are surprised at Nikki's knowledge of music but its one of her great loves and she was able to make an excellent contribution to the show.

You can hear the show again on Thursday 7th October at 1:00am on Channel 4 and 3.30pm on 4Music.

And don't forget if you want to hear the music Nikki likes, she's available for DJ bookings and acoustic sets - see the contact page for details

September 30, 2010  Nikki in Love It magazine this week

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_150_love_it_mag_239a_main.jpg

Nikki's in Love It magazine this week to read the full interview checkout 'Love It'.

From LoveIt online: "Now Big Brother is buried outside the show's Elstree studios, we're going to miss Nikki Grahame's tantrums almost as much as BB's Geordie voice. But when she breezed into our studio with her mum, Sue, she didn't go crazy once - even when we messed up her breakfast order. Love her or loathe her, this lady's grown-up…"

September 29, 2010  Nikki Grahame in Now magazine this week

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_150_now_28_09_2010_4b.jpg

Nikki is in NOW magazine this week and revealed that her time in the Ultimate Big Brother house has helped her put on some weight. Nikki has battled with the eating disorder anorexia for a number of years. Nikki told the magazine she was delighted that she had added a further five pounds and even posed in her underwear to show off her new body.

Nikki credits housemate Vanessa Feltz as having enabled her to deal with her issues and recalls the chat they had in the garden really helped her. Nikki also talks about her mother and sister wanting to help her have a child. And she discusses the long term effect anorexia has had on her body.

From the magazine:
"I used to have a figure of an 8 year old girl, but now I feel a lot more femine," she says. "I havn't got protruding shoulder or hip bones anymore and I've finally got a bottom..."

Looking painfully thin before she entered the UBB house last month, Nikki, 28, never believed she would walk out nearly half a stone heavier and finish in 2nd place to Brian Dowelling. Although she's still tiny at 6st 5lb, it's a giant step for someone who has battled an eating disorder since the age of eight.

"When I was in the house I was painfully thin", she recalls, screwing her face up in disgust. "I weighed about 6st, which is way too skinny. "I'd come out of a relationship that had gone wrong and had a bit of a relapse after writing my book Dying To Be Thin. I'd find myself wiping grease off cooked food with a tissue and if things had got worse I felt I might have to go back into a clinic".

"I felt really tired, drained and very tearful, but going into the Ultimate Big Brother house changed all that. It was the perfect opportunity for me to put on weight naturally because I was sitting around all day eating biscuits and not really exercising...."

You can read more from this interview on the NOW website.

September 23, 2010  Nikki Grahame on Foxy Radio

Nikki Grahame picture - 3_200_foxy radio.jpg

Nikki did a very professional job co-presenting the tombola show with Cristo on Foxy Radio tonight. She was wonderfully entertaining, telling about her time in UBB, giving impressions of HM's, singing her BB song, answering questions from people who had phoned in, joining in the fun and interacting very well with her co-presenter.

They asked her back to do more shows - and let's hope she does.
Nikki's personality really comes across on radio so let's hope there's more of this sort of thing lined up.

AND she announced that she's going to be doing panto this year - Princess Jasmine in Aladdin. We'll give you details when we have them.

September 23, 2010  Nikki Grahame in Reveal Magazine this week

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_150_Reveal3-1.jpg

In this weeks Reveal magazine there is an exclusive interview with Nikki, she talks about Ultimate Big Brother and how it's helped her put on weight. For the first time in her life Nikki put on 5 pounds outside of hospital by simply returning to the Big Brother House.

Nikki tells us: "I have never been able to discipline myself outside of hospital, but I felt so safe in the BB house. There was nothing to worry about and the stresses of outside life weren't there. I was too thin before I went in and usually freak out if I put on weight, but I didn't care when I was in there".

She adds: "In the outside world, normal things such as paying bills and issues with friends can affect my weight. But BB gave me an escape..."

Nikki also describes how putting on weight was mentally tough to deal with. As her weight crept up Nikki's jeans got tighter, but for the first time she felt incredibly proud, rather then disgusted.

September 22, 2010  Nikki Grahame on This Morning

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_200_nikki_grahame_this_morning_22_9_2010.jpg

Along with Eve Pollard and Emma Kenny, Nikki was on "This Morning" (ITV1) being interviewed by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about children and divorce.

They began by asking Nikki about the effect on her of her parents' break-up. Nikki explained that she had felt that her world, which had up to then been very happy, seemed to be falling apart. It was very difficult for her and her sister to hear the arguments and to see their mother crying and getting so upset and Nikki mentioned that it had all contributed to her getting ill. When asked about this, Nikki said that she had seen her illness as a way of taking control and maybe getting them back together, which Emma Kenny (a psychologist) said was a very normal reaction to that situation. Nikki also spoke about attending court for the custody battle and how hard that had been as she was only 9 years old at the time and had felt caught in the middle of something she really didn't understand.

Following some discussion between Eve Pollard and Emma Kenny, Nikki was asked whether her parents' divorce had affected her views on marriage and Nikki admitted that it had and that she was rather sceptical about the whole thing since so many people these days seemed to get divorced.

It's very clear that her parents divorce had a huge effect on Nikki's life and so it was a very serious Nikki that we saw today. Nevertheless she made an excellent contribution to the discussion.

September 17, 2010  Nikki Grahame on CBBC today

Nikki Grahame picture - 1_200_TMIFriday5_2.jpg

Nikki was an excellent guest, together with Angel Coulby from the BBC show Merlin, on TMi Friday on CBBC. The presenters, Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes, introduced her as the "lovely, NTA winning Nikki," and pointed out that she was with them on their very first show in September 2006 - which Nikki remembered very well.

The show has an ongoing competition to find 3 girls to be in a girl band and the 3 today were called, in Nikki's honour, Big Brother's Little Sisters!

There was a segment just with Nikki called "what's inside Nikki's head" where they asked Nikki various questions. Introducing it, the presenters asked her what it was like to be Ultimate Big Brother's female champion, to which Nikki replied that, sitting there, she felt "very royal." They also asked how UBB differed from the ordinary BB and Nikki replied that she felt she'd had to be more grown-up this time but that they'd all had great fun and she asked them if they'd seen her doing cartwheels in the "Flawless" task.

There were other games as well - so if you want to watch it you can do so below.

It was a fun show and Nikki not only played her part well, but looked as if she was really enjoying it.
After the show Sam Nixon said "Absolutely loved show 2! Was lovely to have Nikki and Angel here."
